Ivan is an advocate and a Partner at DeMott Law. Ivan heads the Taxation, Banking & Financial Institutions and the Trademarks & Patents departments at the Firm.

In addition to these qualifications, Ivan enrolled at the East African School of Taxation where he successfully completed a Course on Taxation Law. He equally possesses a Master of Laws Degree in Human Rights from Kampala International University. Ivan is a member of Uganda Law Society and the East African Law Society.

He started legal Practice in the year 2009 at M/s Jingo Ssempijja & Co. Advocates where he rose to the rank of Junior Partner. He voluntarily resigned and worked with Mercantile Credit Bank, Kampala until 2012 when he joined Kaddu & Partners Advocates. He left M/s Kaddu & Partners Advocates in 2014 to co-found M/S DeMott Law Advocates.
